A mobile product experience for distributors

A React Native prototype designed to help distributors browse, discover, and present a printer portfolio to customers.

Product discovery

From printer portfolio to individual product

The experience was structured around simple product discovery, allowing distributors to move from major printer categories into searchable and filterable product listings and detailed product views.

Engineering

Built ready for the final API

Because the final backend would be provided separately, the prototype used placeholder APIs behind a replaceable integration layer. This allowed the complete mobile experience to be developed and demonstrated without tightly coupling the application to temporary data sources.

My role

Built end-to-end as the sole developer

I owned the complete prototype—from the mobile UI and navigation to product discovery, filtering, API integration, and the overall application architecture.

Outcomes

• Delivered an end-to-end working mobile prototype.
• Created a dedicated product discovery experience for distributors.
• Covered four major printer product lines: inkjet, office, laser, and photo.
• Established a replaceable API architecture ready for final backend integration.
• Owned the entire prototype development as the sole developer.
